Dahiru Buba who trekked from Gombe to Abuja in 2015 to celebrate President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory has gotten support from Gombe state Governor, Inuwa Yahaya. The Governor presented him with the sum of N2 million on Monday. He has also been placed under treatment for the limb pains he is undergoing.

According to the Governor; “By embarking on that solidarity trek, Dahiru Buba had shown patriotism and support, he should therefore be appreciated and encouraged. So, on learning about his condition, first I directed that he should be taken to the hospital for proper medical attention. I am happy that he is now better after undergoing his first round of treatment.”

It can be recalled that Baba, earlier this year complained of having limb pains and solicited assistance from the public. The pains were associated with his 15-day journey.

Buba on his part promised to use the vehicle and the money judiciously, saying the “gesture truly motivated and spurred him as a loyal party man, and as a breadwinner of his family.”
